Panther Wrestling club has been providing wrestling instruction to youth aged 5-12 in the Sumner Bonney Lake Community. Our club is made possible entirely by volunteers! From the month of October through May, coaches and board members put in nearly 40 hours a week to ensure that the club operates as designed, and our youth get the best program.
Results show on and off the mat as we provide ourselves not only on delivering expert quality coaching, but instilling valuable life skills that will stick with our athletes long after they step off the mat. We compete competitively in the Pierce County Junior Wrestling League (PCJWL) as one of 20 teams in the area. Our league is one of the largest and provides opportunity for athletes of all ability. For those seeking extra competition, each club, including ours has a competitive JV/Varsity team that competes in the postseason during the month of January, and at the state tournament in February.
Recently, we established a freestyle program due to area demand. The freestyle team consists of athletes ages 5-18 and is a great way to build the wrestling community. Freestyle wrestlers compete competitively from the end of February through the state tournament in May.
